SALLIE KETCHAM

Sallie Ketcham is a mixed media artist whose work incorporates
photography, printmaking, painting and sculpture.
She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts
from the University of Delaware, and was awarded the Faculty Award in 1986. While raising two children she worked as a freelance photojournalist for the Wilmington News Journal.

In 1996, she turned to teaching and began her painting career.
She taught Honors Art classes in photography and encaustic wax at the Tatnall School in Wilmington, Delaware.
In 2001- 2003 She was an adjunct professor in photography at Cecil County Community College in North East, Maryland.
From 1997 to 2009, she showed with the women's art group, X Girls.
Her photography has been included in the Perkins Center for the Arts Annual Photography Show, Longwood Gardens Photography Exhibit and the Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts.
2012-2013 Ketcham completed a Post Baccalaureate Program at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, where she concentrated in oil painting.
Her line of bronze funeral urns are part of The Funeria collection in San Francisco, California.
